Joshua "Alvy" Alvarez-Cordova (Owner/Operator)
Our goal is to bring our passion to the public and do more than the average bartending service. Our team is made up of craft bartenders who can double as managers, Court of Masters Sommeliers, Cicerone certified Beer enthusiasts. We do parties, menu/bar consultation, and continued education for bartenders and individuals who want to up their game at work or at home. This is our passion; we are more than an event bartending service. We are a company of industry professionals who want to make a positive impact on our community. One event/ experience at a time. We also donate our services for a good cause. Whether it's a fundraiser for the local animal shelter or a celebration of life. We love to give back!
Our Story
Odie's Opulence started as a way to bring hospitality to the next level. We wanted to show our regulars and guests that we were capable of giving an excellent service outside of the bars four walls/wells. After working for an event service for a few months and realizing the lack of proper training for their bartenders (the representatives of their brand). We decided to do something about it. Not that the bartenders didn't want to learn rather they didn't have the resources. Our bartenders are also instructors, teachers of their craft. Spirits, wine, beer, anything that your guests may ask about. We hope to inspire and make an actual impact in our food/beverage community. By educating and helping our team grow, we hope to build their confidence so no matter where they go, they will inspire and teach others. That is genuine hospitality.

Meet "Ollie" (Bartender/ Instructor)
Hi my name is Oliver, but everyone calls me Ollie. I’ve been in the service industry for over a decade, and have worked every position from dishwasher to management. My passion however, lies behind the bar. I’ve always had a proclivity for hospitality, culinary arts, and natural sciences, so when I discovered that I could make a career creating and serving craft cocktails I was thrilled! Over the past few years I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the most tallented bartenders in Houston, as well as the opportunity to coach the next generation of up and coming rockstars. I’ve had a hand in developing numerous menus, organizing and working countless events, and meeting scores of incredible individuals. The thing that I find the most gratifying is curating unique and unforgettable experiences for the people that I serve and serve with.
